With an easy-to-use home test kit, you can determine whether you have any of these four sexually transmitted illnesses. Your test kit will arrive in discrete packaging, and your results will be completely confidential.
How this test works
Testing for chlamydia and gonorrhoea involves either a urine test or a simple swab test. You will also need to provide a blood sample to get tested for HIV and syphilis. This entails pricking your finger with a special needle called a lancet and collecting blood in a small sample jar. Most people do not find it painful. After collecting your samples, you return them in the pre-paid box to our in-house lab. You will receive your findings within 2-3 days of your sample arriving at our lab.
Why did you chose this STI test?
If you are sexually active, frequent STI testing is one of the most important things you can do to protect your health and the health of your partner (s). Because many persons with a STI do not exhibit any symptoms, it is possible to have a STI without being aware of it.
Our at-home STI tests are simple to do at a time and location that is convenient for you. However, if you have any symptoms or a partner has tested positive for one or more STIs, you should get tested as soon as possible at a sexual health facility.
Take the test at the appropriate time.
Testing is the only method to find out if you have certain STIs. Depending on your risk, we recommend being tested every 3-12 months. You should also test if you have a new sexual relationship or if you wish to stop using condoms with an existing partner. It may take some time after you initially have a STI for a test to detect it.
We propose deferring until:
Chlamydia and gonorrhoea: 2 weeks after the most recent exposure
8 weeks after last exposure to HIV
3 months after last exposure to syphilis
You can still perform a test today, but if the results are negative, you may need to repeat the test later.
Obtaining your results
Typically, test results are available within three working days of your sample arriving at our in-house laboratory. When your findings are ready, you will be notified through text and email. To access your results, log in with the credentials you received through email.
Please contact us if you have not received your findings within seven days of submitting your sample. If you have a reactive (or positive) test result, you should go to a sexual health clinic right away. We will direct you to local services where you can receive any necessary treatment, assistance, or advice.
What does a negative outcome necessarily mean?
A negative result for any STI indicates that you did not have that STI at the time the test was performed.
