Effervescent Co-codamol Tablets Effervescent 8/500mg Tablets are used to treat acute moderate pain that is not relieved by paracetamol, aspirin, or ibuprofen alone. The two active ingredients in Co-codamol are paracetamol and codeine, which work together to relieve muscular and rheumatic pains, headaches, migraines, neuralgia (nerve pain), toothaches, and period pains. Adults and children over the age of 12 can take Co-Codamol Effervescent dissolved in a glass of water.
