When other painkillers have failed to relieve acute moderate pain in the short term.
Rheumatic and arthritic pains
Dosage: Take one tablet with a glass of water and swallow it whole.
Adults and children over the age of 12 should take one or two tablets four times a day.
The dose should not be given more than once every four hours, and no more than four doses should be given in a 24-hour period.
Children under the age of 12 should not take co-codamol because it can cause serious breathing problems.
Keep out of reach of children and out of sight.
Take for no longer than three days.
If the pain persists after three days, consult your doctor.
Take no more medicine than the label recommends.
While taking this medicine, avoid taking anything else that contains paracetamol.
Even if you feel fine, consult a doctor if you take too much of this medicine.
This medicine may cause you to fall asleep.
Do not drive while taking this medicine until you have a better understanding of how it affects you.
Each tablet contains 8 mg of codeine phosphate and 500 mg of paracetamol.

Will I become hooked to these pills?

How should these tablets be taken?
With a drink of water, swallow co-codamol tablets whole. Do not take it for more than three days unless your doctor advises you to.
Adults: As needed, take 2 tablets every 4–6 hours. Take no more than 8 pills in a 24-hour period.
Children aged 16 to 18 years old: Take 1 – 2 tablets every 6 hours, as needed. Take no more than 8 pills in a 24-hour period.
Children aged 12 to 15: As needed, take 1 pill every 6 hours. Take no more than 4 pills in a 24-hour period.

Swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips, or neck, trouble swallowing or breathing, hives, or nettle rash are all symptoms of a severe allergic reaction.
Serious skin responses have been documented in extremely few individuals.
Severe stomach ache that may extend into your back. This could be a symptom of pancreatic inflammation, which is also quite unusual.
Other potential adverse effects include:
Constipation, feeling sick, and actually being sick
