Levothyroxine is a useful medication for the treatment of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). The thyroid gland produces hormones that regulate growth and energy levels, but those with a thyroid that is underactive do not produce the required amount. Levothyroxine is used to replenish growth and energy-regulating hormones.

What exactly is Levothyroxine?

Levothyroxine, also referred to as Thyroxine and Euthyrox, is a medication used to treat hypothyroidism, also known as an underactive thyroid, by replenishing the hormones that your body does not produce naturally.

What are the advantages of Levothyroxine?

Infrequently do symptoms of an underactive thyroid present themselves immediately, so sufferers of this condition may not notice immediately. However, hypothyroidism can result in weight gain, fatigue, and depression over time.

Levothyroxine prevents the symptoms of an underactive thyroid by increasing the level of thyroxine hormones in the body.

How should I use Levothyroxine?

Levothyroxine, also known as Euthyrox, L-Thyroxine, and Thyroxine, is only available with a doctor’s prescription. Always follow your physician’s instructions and read the medication’s patient information leaflet.

Ideally, take the tablets with a large amount of water before breakfast (or your first meal of the day). You may take this medication for the rest of your life, so it is essential that you understand how to take it correctly.

What is the correct Levothyroxine dosage?

The standard strengths of Levothyroxine tablets are 12.5mcg, 25mcg, 50mcg, 75mcg, and 100mcg.

Your physician will determine your initial dose based on the results of a blood test.

Most adults begin with a daily dosage of 50-100 mcg, but this dosage may be increased every 3 to 4 weeks until your thyroxine levels are optimal. Your final daily dose may range from 100 to 200 micrograms and can be administered in a variety of ways.

For instance, a daily dose of 100mcg could be administered as a single 100mcg tablet or as four 25mcg tablets.

If you forget to take a dose, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, you should skip the one you forgot and move on to the next one. Do not double the dose to compensate for a missed one.

If you take an excessive amount of Levothyroxine, you should immediately contact a physician or emergency service. Overdose symptoms include chest pain, fever, and an irregular heartbeat.

You should not stop taking Levothyroxine tablets unless your doctor or prescriber specifically instructs you to. These pills are intended for long-term use, so you should continue taking them as directed.

Where can I purchase Levothyroxine online?

At My London Pharmacy, you can buy Levothyroxine online safely. Levothyroxine is the equivalent generic form of Euthyrox. Also known as L-thyroxine or Thyroxine (for short).
